Having Surgery at EHMC

Whether you are being admitted the day of your operation, or the night before your operation, one of our goals is to assure that you are prepared optimally to undergo your procedure.   One of the principle ways to prepare yourself for anesthesia with us is to visit our Pre-Admission Testing Center (PAT)  At this visit, you wil review your medical history with a nurse practitioner, review what lab work needs to be done, and discuss some aspects of your anesthesia.  Although the final plans will be made on the day of surgery with your anesthesiologist, this visit will help assure that your overall care goes smoothly, and should answer many of your questions.
